IMPACT Haiti
During our initial mission journey to Haiti, we were deeply moved by the genuine kindness of the locals we encountered. In response, our mission is to positively impact the underprivileged in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. Our objective is to elevate the standard of living through our actions.
Whether it’s constructing a children’s home, offering education, healthcare, or clean water, our mission is to enrich lives comprehensively. Our aspiration is to create a long-lasting legacy that will benefit future generations.

IDADEE Children’s Home
In 2015, we hired 55 Haitian construction workers who worked for 12 months to construct the second level of the IDADEE Children’s Home. This expansion now accommodates 40 children who reside in IDADEE, where they receive a strong biblical upbringing, access to clean water, medical attention, education and a nurturing environment.
IDADEE not only caters to the needs of local children but also benefits the community by creating job opportunities for locals to care for and guide the children of IDADEE.
Your support is crucial in continuing to assist these children and sustaining local employment in Haiti. Moreover, IDADEE will remain a safe haven for future children seeking a loving home.
Child Sponsorship Program
Breaking Bread
In Cap-Haïtien, numerous children rely on the meals provided at school as their only daily food. Our Breaking Bread initiative ensures that schoolchildren receive lunch every day, along with food packets to take home over the weekend. Moreover, five local cooks are employed to work in the school kitchen, offering them a means to support their families.
CHIDA Medical Clinic
The medical clinic we built provides care for 1,000 children and adults in the communities that surround IDADEE. No patient is turned away due to lack of finances. In this Haitian-run clinic, Haitian and American medical professionals serve side-by-side. The clinic is run by Dr. Wislyn Avenard, who grew up at EBAC children’s home and had the vision to serve others spiritually and physically, along with his wife, who is a nurse. The clinic provides 183 sustainable medical positions.
Furthermore, the Community Health Outreach Program plays a crucial role in assisting individuals in need. Once or twice a month, medical teams travel to remote villages by vehicle and on foot, sometimes hours away, to deliver the sole medical care these communities have access to. Additionally, the team offers health education and imparts knowledge on disease prevention.
Education
The primary and secondary schools at IDADEE cater to 40 resident children and over 500 children from the local community, one of the most impoverished areas in Haiti. Without this school, many of these children would miss out on an education, as financial constraints are not a barrier. Furthermore:
- The school has generated 30+ sustainable jobs, with more on the horizon, contributing significantly to the success of our mission.
- The vocational school imparts crucial job and business skills, aiding in community development and economic growth.
Water & Sanitation
In collaboration with our amazing partners at Water Mission and with the help of private funding, we have established eight wells and eight safe water systems benefiting 30,000 individuals. Additionally, nearly 600 latrines have been built for the IDADEE community, benefiting 4,000 people. By offering safe water and sanitation to the community, we have not only restored dignity in a basic necessity often overlooked but also promoted overall better health for all community members.
Partnerships
By collaborating with organizations that share our values, we are realizing the dream envisioned by six Haitian friends many years ago: to create a safe haven for abandoned and orphaned children. This place not only serves as a home but also provides education, skills, and love, empowering these children to flourish within their communities and become vital contributors to their country. The impact reaches into the community and beyond, thanks to the various programs developed in Haiti through these partnerships.
We can’t do this alone. We give our sincerest thanks to all the partners who have supported our mission!
Experience Haiti
When Kyle and Bridget first set eyes on the community of Cap-Haïtien, with the sparkling bay to one side and tree-covered mountains on the other, their lives were changed forever. The children and adults they met captured their hearts, and the work they did inspired them to start Brace for IMPACT 46. See for yourself the IMPACT this experience had on their lives and the lives of everyone in that Haitian community.
